The cost of the introductory course also includes 3 months probationary membership to the club, so that you can continue to experience our support while you learn the sport and skill of Archery.

The course takes 2.5hrs and includes:

30 Minutes of familiarisation and basic training
Shooting time to try out using a bow with instructor support
tour of the facilities
provision of a bow from the club to try different types to determine what works for you.

You do not need to purchase a bow or arrows before attending your class.
We strongly recommend that you postpone buying a bow until you have completed an introductory class and have been shooting for a little while, particularly if the equipment is for a young person. Purchasing equipment that is not suitable can lead to serious injury, and arrows must always be correctly matched to the type and draw weight of the bow.

Smaller, less expensive items such as a glove, finger tab, or arm guard are suitable initial purchases. The club also sells inexpensive entry-level accessories for beginners.
